I understand that shells provide safety.
Provides a safe and secure place when the world gets scary.
But if you are always in your shell.
You are having to assume what is happening around you.
You can't see, so you have to listen.
And all you can hear are the loud lies
Instead of the subtly quiet truth.
So this week, I encourage all of you to break out of that shell.
And go disprove all the lies in the world.
Break out.

Jack Johnson is my hero.
We are talking like Superman.
He is amazing.
I got his new CD Jack Johnson en concert.
I would recommend it to anyone.
It is the perfect combination of smooth guitar and a sweet voice.
It just mellows you out.
And it makes me happy.

You should take a listen.
My favorite song is Belle/Banana Pancakes.

Titanic

Ok, so newsflash. the Titanic sunk due to an iceberg,

Big deal we all saw the movie!
i have an even bigger failure than that of the Titanic.
Its was:

monstrous
huge
epic
large
insane

my band didn't advance to state by ONE slot.
I know!
Its epic!!!
So not to slam on the judges or anything but if they all would have thought a little more alike and been more consistant, we wouldn't be in this mess right now and instead of sitting in BCIS class blogging about our epic failure, i would be on my way to the state marching contest. I KNOW! It makes me sad too.....
So i just thought we should make like the Titanic....
We should produce an awful movie and share our historical failure.

UIL:Band Competition (Death)

So....

If you aren't in band, this could get confusing...
I have a UIL Band Marching Competition this weekend.
Correction, it isn;t a band competition.
It is THE competition.
The one shot that every band in your region has to prove that are good.
This is what goes down in the books.
And that is SCARY!

Because it is a state year for 4A schools,
have an opportunity to go to state.
I hope we make it but hope is not going to get us out of this economic turmoil
and it is NOT going to get us to state!
If thats all it took then we would be set.

I have high hopes for this band.
I know we COULD make it
but it is the fact that people are obviously not:

-putting in the effort
-making the decision
-and trying their best.

So. Are we going to make a division 1 at UIL?
You tell me....

Hey Hey Hey Its FRIDAY!!!
So, obviously this is my favorite day of your basic 5 day school week.
Why? Because it is the fun day.
Teachers relax because there are tired.
We are hyped because it is FRIDAY, and the football game is that night.
Unfortunately this means a very long day for Band Kids.....
But it is all ok because it is the eve of the weekend.
So, in closing, i wish you all a happyFRIDAY and a wonderful weekend.

Three day weekends.

SO!
It is the end of Labor DayWeekend.
You know, the day that everyone comes back from their weekend and the are totally NOT happy about being here.
Ok. So, this brings me to another point, why only 3 days.
Odd numbers are bad!
Thats why it should be 4 days.
Just saying....
I hate tuesdays!
Its like having a REALLY bad hangover.
But not.

School is more of torcher facility in which their "creative means of punishment" include but are not limited too:

Test

Notes

Quizzes
Homework
and Homework

So, I am now almost finished with my second week of school. It hasn't been too torcherous, however, I despise when teachers drone on and on and on about themselves and class rules.

Well....thats what the dictionary definition is, but my definition of sleep is two hours of laying my head down after partying till 2 AM and having to come home and do homework. I have much more important things to do that sleep sucyh as....

school
eating
practice piano
dig a hole
babysit brother]
go to the movies
crawl in the hole
homework
homework
Mrs.Zeigler's homework
dig a tunnel to china witha spoon
die in a hole because you have done too much homework!

See how busy I am?
Why on earth would i have time to sleep?
These are the questions that haunt me.....

Donuts (SPELLING??)

First of all..how in the WORLD do you spell donuts?????

I think it can be spelled the following ways
    -doughnuts
    -donuts
    -dounuts
    -and doenutes (completely wrong)
But on anotgher note besides whoever named this retardedly.....they are............

DELICIOUS!!!
It is like God sent a little peice of heaven down....This is serious stuff! I mean where do donuts come from? I think that is like asking where babies come from.

You see...when a baker and a icing person love each other very much...they make DONUTS!!!!!

Ok, so this isn't as random as it sounds. I am in a LAMO class and our awesome teacher just brought us donuts!

Summer Break!

It is so close, yet so far away. Only four more weeks. Is that even possible? Anyways....I am totally excited about summer because that means beach, books, and boys (on the beach.) The more I think about the wonderful days of lemonade and swimming I know that I still have four long weeks to go. But I guess four weeks is better than four months, and four months is better that four years.

If I had four years of high school left, I would probably crawl in a hole and shoot myself leaving my body to the dirt of the ditch and the grief of my annoying parents.

So the closer summer gets I leave you with the advice of keeping your distance because the more you want it, the longer it will take to get here! Three cheers for Summer Break!
